POST # 737 EBAY PRICE GUIDE : Gibson Byrdland Vintage 1974 Hollowbody NO RESERVE
I wonder what happened with the rust on the pickup covers? Otherwise a great looking Byrdland from the 70's. Scroll down to see how much it sold for. Here's the blurb from the seller.
*NO RESERVE*
Up for auction is a vintage 1974 Gibson Byrdland in good condition. This all original beauty plays amazingly with rich tones and superb sustain. There are no splits, cracks, breaks or repairs anywhere, just moderate play wear with oxidation on the pickup covers, some scratches on the headstock and minor finish fading in spots (pictured). The action is low, the neck is true and the frets are in great shape. The serial number is 410135. Comes with the original Gibson hardshell case. Please feel free to e-mail me with any questions after viewing all of the photos. International shipping rates are listed below. Good luck!

The deterioration on the pickups comes from the gassing of the pick guard. Remove the pick guard and get a new pick guard that will not ruin the metal on the instrument.
