Fender Custom Shop Will Ray "Mojo" Telecaster
Another great one from the Fender Custom Shop circa 1998! A Tele body with a highly figured Bird's eye maple neck with a Strat headstock… a flatter radius fingerboard, Custom designed pickups…(those are NOT Jazzmaster pickups) Hipshot B-Bender, Special Rotary wiring on a small third knob with inductance coils, Strat neck, Skull inlays, Sperzel Locking tuners, 3 way blade switch, brass bridge saddles.
There is more info and pics and the FCS stat sheet for the guitar…. I don't care what they say it sure feels flatter than 7.25 radius! Plays like a dream and sounds incredible. I emailed Will Ray at his Web site and he was kind enough to respond. He says that an engineer at Fender designed the PUs and that there was one big coil in there??? I've never taken it apart to find out.
