The Tune-o-Matic bridge was introduced in 1954 by Gibson also known as the ABR-1.
Gibson used nylon saddles in the 1960's and early 1970's for its semi-hollow, thinline and fully hollowbody archtops and sometimes on some solid-bodies too. It has a mellower tone compared with steel saddles.
Nashville is a later version of the Tune-o-Matic with wider footing for increased intonation.
