POST # 659 Did you know The Maestro Fuzz-Tone circuit was invented by....

The Maestro Fuzz-Tone circuit was invented by studio engineer Glen Snotty. Snotty was trying to emulate the sound on Marty Robbins 1961 hit record 'Don't Worry' where the bass solo had a distorted tone due to a failing tube preamp in one of the mixers.

  1. The inventor was a gentleman by the name of Glenn Snoddy ( NOT ) Snotty. You should be sure before putting items on the web.

Glenn lives in Murfreesboro and on June 3rd 2012
is being presented with a lifetime achievement award in Nashville. He also rigged up the first stereo recording machine, three headed recording machine not forgetting, inventing the Maestro Fuzz Pedal.
